*sigh* Please allow me to vent for a minute. I ordered a dress back in July, which left me with plenty of time for it to come in before our wedding. It didn’t come in until January….and it was the wrong color. I was reassured that the correct color would be rushed in, and it would take no more than 1.5-2 months.
Fast forward to now, and no dress. I’m reading a lot of negative reviews on the shop from other ladies who never got accessories that they ordered, and I’m panicking! They’re not responding to phone calls anymore (up until now, we kept getting the same line “next week it’ll be in”) I found a used dress that seems to be my size, and I almost like it better than the one I’ve been waiting for. However, I’d hate to end up with two dresses on my hands. I know I can sell it, but it’d be a hassle.
I’m starting to really stress out about it. I know deep down that it’ll work itself out but I never thought I’d be dress-less this close to my wedding! 🙁 It’s been 9 months since I placed my initial order!

Did you use a credit card to purchase the dress? I’m finding that the phrase “I will dispute the charges with my credit card and move on to someone who wants my business” calms me pretty quickly.
I’m sorry you’re in this situation. What a horrible company. You do have options and a little bit of time. Good luck. I’m sure everything will go just fine.

Thanks! My parents bought it for me, and used a check. That was my first thought. I always use a credit card for that exact reason

I would also walk into the shop and talk to them face to face. It’s harder for them to give the run around that way

@dancingriss: +1. If you can be there in person, the shop will be far more attentive and less likely to give you the runaround.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through that what a horrible situation! 🙁
I would be threatening legal action at this point…you have just over 2 months left, your date is a week after mine and alterations need to start soon (granted you could do them two weeks out…would be hectic, might pay more for rush but still)
that is just ridiculous! Can you physically walk in there instead of calling? and your not from michigan by chance are you? lol
