(Closed) Need workout/diet suggestions!

You sound a lot like my body type… My two sisters took after my Dad’s long, lean, toned but not bulky body type… I took after my Mum’s short limbs, thick legs, large derriere body type…. but it’s not impossible to change, I discovered that accidentally last summer when I had a serious bout of tonsillitis and lost about 5kgs (I think around 11 pounds) in just over a week… lying in bed all day every day made my muscles all shrunken, even my thick calves lost all their definition. I know this isn’t really the advice you were after… sorry. 

So anyways, after I cut out pasta and white flour, basically replaced all the carbs I’d normally eat with meals for small portions of brown rice, and cut out all dairy and replaced it with soy products, I have both managed to feel a lot less sluggish and bloated, and have seen faster results when I exercise (I do about an hour of fast walking on the spot holding 1kg dumbbells in each hand in front of the TV, my kind of exercise, ha!). I also started drinking a glass or two of green tea each morning as I was convinced by a few articles I read that it helps with weight loss. I’m with you, I believe easing into these diet and exercise changes and integrating them into your normal lifestyle is the best way to lose weight and keep it off! Good luck :):):)

I would suggest Jillian Michaels DVDs. They are a really great full body workout. The DVDs are cheap to buy and you only need some dumbells at home to complete the exercises. I’ve found they’ve helped me with just overall body toning.
