Please help! I don’t want this to not turn out wonderful.
My Fiance is turning 21 next Saturday and he originally wanted to go to the beach for it but since his grandfathers birthday is the next day he wants to wait. So, I figured this would be the perfect time to throw him a surprise party with his family and friends. We are going two hours away that Saturday morning to visit our dog at training and to drop off his best friends dog, to be trained also. I have asked everyone to be at the house by 2 in order to surprise him but my question is what can I have there so everyone doesn’t get bored. I want this to be his best birthday ever. We recently got an in ground pool and I told everyone that they could go swimming, bring their corn hole boards, we’ll have music and food of course but what else could I do or have them do to make his day extra special????

Lawn games like ladder ball and bocce ball? Sounds cheesy, but it is actually kinda fun.
Maybe a net for the pool to play volleyball.

Maybe do something fun with his baby pictures or you could also have each guest write a “must do” shot for him (not ALL that night, just for reference!) I was worried throwing a similar party for my dad last year, but people aren’t 5 anymore so a few simple games like cornhole were enough to keep everyone occupied!

Oooh, maybe a floating cooler of beers in the pool? Since he is turning 21 after all:

OOH, what about hiring some entertainment, like belly dancer or a flame eater or an elvis impersonator? You certainly don’t need them for the whoel night but a short show could be loads of fun!

@sarahbabs: Yes! I have thought about either one of these or a floating beer pong table.

@JenGirl: I will definitely have to look into one of these. Thanks so much. I’m sure him and all his friends would love a belly dancer
