@Junip3r:  That sounds awesome! Will you wear it with your e-ring or alone? This is a top contender of mine (I’m with you on loving pink gold):

@Junip3r:  Ooo that’s really pretty!! Um, mine doesn’t match at all … I just like that band πŸ˜‰ Likely I am going to solder my grandmother’s thin, half eternity-ish 1930’s wedding band to my e-ring and get a plain wedding band like you to wear on its own. I wanted something from Fiance along with the wedding band I inherited. Here’s my e-ring:

My DHs is 18k yellow and mine is 18k rose. πŸ™‚  I love the wide ones though!  There is something about a wide gold band that is so lux.

@Junip3r:  Thanks!  I really like it because it has a fine milgrian between the high polish and hammer finish.  It is masculine and textured, but has some nice detailing as well.  My Darling Husband did not choose it, it was a surprise for him, but he loves it!

We’re still looking at wedding bands. He will probably wear a 5 mm yellow gold band from his grandfather (if we can get it resized large enough) and right now my favorite look with my ering is a 4mm wide, flat (stovepipe) band in yellow gold.

My ering is 0.5 carat round diamond, set in a white gold bezel, on a yellow gold 1 mm knife edge band.

Great idea going with rose gold. I own two thin rose gold bands with diamonds on the top. I enjoy them when they spin and show the rose metal on top as well πŸ˜‰ 4mm is bold, I like it!! I wear two thin bands together, rose and white and they are 4mm together on a size 4.75 finger. It’s nice to wear something substantial on your wedding ring finger πŸ˜‰

Our gold bands have recently been retired. His started out at 6mm wide and was heavily domed.  It’s worn thin.  Mine is still 7mm wide (I think I got a man’s ring and never knew it).  It used to have a brushed finish and deeper etching.  We replaced them with other rings of more durable metals BUT are thinking of another pair of gold bands after all, even if they may wear away.  This time in rose gold, I will be looking at about 5mm on a size 5.5/6, his will probably be 6mm.  He wears a 12, but think it looks nice on him.  Guessing pic will be too big!
