What does it look like without it?

I like it!! Since it’s your wedding moment, I think a little extra pizazz can’t hurt!!

Okay, well, no one is going to like me, but I’m going to be perfectly honest: I say don’t do it. Because of the shiny satin at the waist, it already draws attention to that area of the dress. By adding the rosette there, I think it is just one point too many, and actually starts “taking away” from the dress. I really think in this case, less is more.

However, the rosette is lovely. Why not remove the ribbons from it and wear it in your hair with a birdcage veil? Or just wear it with no veil? Good luck!

I agree with you fabulouslyengaged…..I think it could be okay with just the sash around the waist, but I dont really like the rosette and the sash hanging down.

I don’t like either the sash or the rosette.  To me, it makes the dress look childish…I think it’d look a lot more elegant and wedding-appropriate without either.

I like it just the way it is in the picture. It looks cute and having something at the waist is always good for showing off your already small waist. You look lovely, this dress is perfect for a civil ceremony. :)One poster mentioned about the dress looking childish with the sash an rosette, honestly, I don’t see that but, maybe it’s the shoes you are wearing with the dress while you had it on? I just looked at your inspiration board on your blog and I think shoes will go great with his uniform and the veil would be great with that dress!

I like rosette, no sash (hanging down)…would that be possible?

Beautiful dress!  I agree with sarahsd, keep the rosette with no sash if possible.

I like it, but I love belts and stuff.  Is it just tied around there or sewn on?  Can we see it without it?? 🙂  I think … keep the sash…it’s pretty

Keep the sash but ditch the rosette.  I think the rosette makes it look too busy.  Love the dress though!

I love the dress but why not add the rosette as a hair adornment, sort of like a fascinator?

I’m gonna be honest I kind of love it, but after having read @crebre80 ‘s response I really think you should try it as a hair adornment!!
