Ok bees – I’m starting to think about veils, as my dress should be arriving soon 🙂 I have shoes & earrings all set & ready to go.
I’d like a single-tier, no-embellishment, semi-cathedral length veil (I tried one on with the sample dress, and we found a veil at 105″ length looked best to extend just a bit past the train) that I will wear midway, just above a chignon.Simple to go with simple, I suppose.
The dress is a taffeta material. What material would you do? Any suggestions on price limits? I’m hunting online, but with the veil – I’m hesitant to order w/out feeling it!

Sorry if this is no help but I don’t think the veil fabric really goes with with the dress fabric. Its more the style and it sounds like you picked that out as something simple.

I voted for silk tulle as it AWESOME!. My mom used to make wedding dresses and veils and I am in love with french silk tulle. My veil is so light, airy, and soft that I want to touch it all the time, but I can’t as it will run. I got mine at glamgal.com. She did an amazing job and her prices were very reasonable for the product. She is alittle slow about answering emails, but her work is totally worth it. She carries truely beautiful hairpins for them too which are really great quality. So far, she has been my favorite wedding vendor.
