My selections for flowers have to be in by tomorrow and I’m still so torn about what to decide. I selected my bouquet and FI’s boutonniere a long time ago, but procrastinated big time on the other bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres.
Here is where we are at: My bouquet is all white lilles and roses, FI’s boutonniere is one single white lily with white ribbon around it. I’m wearing a white dress (well ivory to be technical), white shoes etc. Fiance is wearing a very light grey suit with white underneath to match me. We basically are both going to stand apart from the rest of the bridal party because we’ll be wearing all white/very light tones.
My BMs are wearing deep wine red colored dresses. The GMs are wearing darker grey suits. I now need to decide what to do for their flowers. Our wedding colors are deep wine red accented by deep dark purple and silver.
I’m thinking the bridesmaid bouquet will have these colors, but with red roses instead of the red/fushia dahlias. I am thinking of doing a mix of red roses, purple dahlias and purple lillies. My mom is wrapping the stems of these bouquets with the gorgeous purple ribbon we’ve used on other accents and the invitations. Here are the colors:
Please help me decide the following:
1. Should we just keep it simple and do the GMs boutonnieres as one single red rose with the purple ribbon tied around the bottom? What would some other ideas be?
2. If we do the GMs boutonnieres that way how should the FOB/FOG boutonnieres look? Should they be the same as the GMs or should they be white like the bride and groom? OR should the FOB have a white boutonniere (because he’s walking me down the aisle) and the FOG have one that matches the GMs?
3. Lastly, what about corsages? Should we have them for the mothers only or for mothers and grandmothers? What colors should these be? My mother is wearing a dark, almost black purple dress and FI’s mother is wearing a purple dress that is almost exactly the wedding color.
We’re getting married in Mexico, so keep in mind my flower selection is limited by the resort unless I want to fork out extra cash to pay the fees associated with on off site florist. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I know I’m leaving this to the last minute, but I really can’t make up my mind!
Thanks Bees 🙂
