Both sound completely doable. If you go with the second one, I would highly recommend a day of coordinator to help with setup and break down.

BUT, I think the main way to decide is actually to go try on wedding dresses. I know that sounds weird, but I think when you see yourself in a dress, you’ll know what kind of bride you want to be (urban or rustic in this case).

Otherwise, I would go with the one that will be easier on you, unless you can afford to hire extra help.

I would decide by how much DIY you want to do. The urban location sounds like it will be much easier to get things coordinated in fewer steps, whereas the rural location will require a lot more effort on your part in terms of getting things set up, coordinated, and designed. Some people relish the DIY, others would rest easier with experienced hands running the show.

Deciding after dress shopping is also a neat idea 🙂

I would go with the urban location personally.  I didn’t want to do a ton of DIY and have to worry about coordinating things.  I agree that you should get a day of coordinator if you go with the rural location.

Basically, yes. I used my wedding dress as the jumping off point for all style decisions, and for us, venue was largely a style decision.  I had originally thought I would like a lace dress that was a bit rustic, but I ended up going romantic, so that really helped me make a choice.
