So I’m at a loss here trying to figure out which wedding band I would like! I want something a little different, yet simple. Nothing too flashy… just a sweet, unique band that I’ll love on its own or with my engagement ring.
I am crazy about rose gold… I think it’s so beautiful and would love a rose gold band… though my engagement ring is white gold. Here’s a pic of my engagement ring:
And sorry the pic is so large!
Anyway, I have a few concerns with the rings I like: Will they pair well with my engagement ring? Honestly I don’t mind all too much about the mixing of rose and white gold… I kind of like the contrast.
My second concern is with the rose gold band with diamonds… I worry that, at 1.8mm wide, it will be too thin and could bend or be damaged easily? I just read some reviews online for a 1.6mm band and a couple of people mentioned how so very thin it is… too thin. I have very small hands, so maybe would a thin band be okay for me?
Anyway…. help! I need your opinion on these rings!
1. Aldine thin braided band (I would choose either rose gold or white gold)
2. Fishtail band (again, either rose or white gold)
3. Hand engraved band (white gold)
3. Rose gold half eternity band

I think #2 or #4 would suit your ering best while still being different. My vote was for the rose gold half eternity.

I like the engraving on #3 but #4’s settings match your e-ring better. Do you think #4 will still look good even though that’d add up to three different colors total on your finger? (White gold, dark blue/black (can’t tell from the photo) stones in the halo, and a rose gold wedding band.)

@rachelb44: Those are all very pretty. However, if you are going to mix metals (rose gold band with white gold e-ring), then I’d probably at least choose a band that mimics the style of the e-ring so there’s some cohesiveness in style…your #4. But if you go with white gold, I really like both the white gold fishtail and the white gold engraved. All are so pretty!

I would choose 3. I would check about mixing golds though as we’ve been advised to not mix. My engagement ring is 18ct white gold so we’ve stuck with the same for the wedding bandAs they can wear each other down if you have a softer gold.

#4, #3, or #2
#1 to me would get too much gunk stuck in the open spaces.

Would you mind sharing where you found the fishtail ring? It’s gorgeous!
For your ring, I think number 4 would match best. I personally would get it in white gold but if you love the mixed metals look then go for the rose!

The fishtail band (I agree – it is gorgeous!) is designed by Bario-Neal. You can see it on their web site here: http://bario-neal.com/bn/collections/bands-rings-diamonds-gems/commitment-bands/fishtail-band.htm
