Adorable! Maybe consider adding water and submergible lights so they glow? I got mine at Michael’s. Or you can break a chem-light (glow stick) and swirl it around in there.

Very nice.

What about tinting the glass of the mason jar and adding a light?

I think of submersible lights as a modern centerpiece idea, but this one seems more cute and casual.  What if you just wrapped the jar with burlap, lace or a broad ribbon?

I think I’m in agreement with what the pp are not saying. It would look prettier of you had something in the vase to cover up that stem, or wrapped the vase to accomplish the same purpose.

I like the idea of a light and than instead of putting something over the jar what about putting it inside the jar like a piece of vellum or fabric?  Keeps the shape clean but adds some color.

Don’t you dare add lights to those beautiful centerpieces. The burlap is a FAB idea though 😉

@tcanne: I agree completely! What you’ve put together is adorable!  I’d add a ribbon or burlap to the outside of the jar to keep the romantic feel.
