So my fiance and I have decided on the colors, but now I’ve got to figure out which Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. I’ve narrowed it down to two…
The Groomsmen will be wearing grey tuxes with fuschia vests and ties, while my fiance wants to match my shoes and wear grey and blue.
So…which do you think is best? Our wedding is in March and indoors (in Texas).

I voted satin to match the men’s ties and your shoes.

I voted Satin because of your shoes…. but I think that chiffon would be fine too! Personally I like chiffon better, but if your wedding is very formal than Satin would probably be better!

I love the flow of chiffon better than satin..but if you have a satin wedding gown I would choose satin

ooh ive just had the chiffon versus satin debate for my BMs. i actually agonized over it for ages
if its indoors then you dont have to worry about heat (sweat patches look worse on satin)
if your BMs are a bit larger then chiffon is more a forgiving fabric…satin really highlights lumps and bumps and its more clingy, whereas the chiffon skims over bumps
you might want to see how it looks in real life on your BMs. i loved satin on the hanger…but somehow didnt look that great on my BMs in person
i also think chiffon is more wearable in the future. satin just screams “bridesmaid dress” to me
edit – i said chiffon. but if your bridesmaids are all tall and thin then they can rock the satin look. i personally look bad in satin so im biased

I prefer the first one…it kinda looks like it would be more flattering on the way it is cut in the front!

I said chiffon because it’s more forgiving on varying body types…but I love both versions of the dress (and I’m not normally a satin fan!)

I can see them wearing the chiffon dresses again in the future. Where would they ever wear the satin again? The dresses would probably sit unused in their closets.

I would match the girl’s dresses with the same fabric as the guy’s ties.

The second one is going to look better on a lot of different body types and it’s going to be more comfortable for your bridesmaids. I like the second one a lot myself. =)

I had my bridesmaids try on both of these dresses and I prefered the satin look much more than the chiffon.

I like the chiffon, but you should compare it to the fabric of your dress.

I voted satin, to match your shoes and the GM’s ties, but it does depend on your dress as well and the material. If it’s satin, go with satin. If it’s got more sheer layering or would compliment the chiffon, then I’d say go with that.

I voted for the satin one, but purely based on my own taste. They both look great and you can’t go wrong!
