I lost two pounds this week (I think? maybe water weight lol who knows) after two really bad dinners in a row.

I had lasagna at an Italian restaurant on Wednesday night. I split the plate with a friend, so that was a good choice, but we also each had a side Caesar and a piece of garlic bread and a glass of wine lol. Oops. Then last night I told Darling Husband I wasnt too hungry and that he was on his own …. so he ordered two pizzas (from two different places??? Men are weird) and I ate three pieces -_- small ones, that were chicken and garlic and spinach, but still! If it were thin crust I’d shrug it off but it wasn’t.

On a happier note … I went grocery shopping and my fridge looks good!

MRSsrm85:  Oh I’m excited..thank you so much! I will definitely go check out that website! ๐Ÿ™‚

mghnglnn:  MrsWe:  I’m gonna be the annoying naggy mom here…but you two should really try not to skip breakfast! It’s so important to get your metabolism moving first thing! Some mornings I’m not very hungry or don’t give myself much time and that’s when I’ve got my nice little protein shakes handy. I buy the Premier Protein shakes. They’re very low in sugar with a good amount of fiber and the highest amount of protein I’ve seen in those little shakes! The chocolate is by far better than the vanilla in my opinion and it’s a good go to when you just don’t have time. *Stepping down from my soap box.*

This week I’ve been very proud of myself when it comes to food. The only little “cheat” I had was a small square of chocolate because we received a package from one of our reps at work in Italy. Just enough to taste it! Went out to dinner with some of the girls last night but did really well with my choices.

I weighed myself last Sunday and the scale read 150.1 I think I will weigh again this coming Sunday and see if my good eating habits helped at all. I definitely did not do well with working out this week…went for a few walks and played frisbee golf once but seriously was horrible other than that.

I was invited to join a core class that is an outdoor class two nights a week with some friends starting next month and I said I’m totally in!! I’m super excited!!

mrs.akjp:  I don’t try to skip breakfast but if I’m not hungry I’m not going to force feed myself and gag either. Thanks for being concerned, I have enough fat on my body to cover my skipped meals lol.

The weekend is here Bees are you going to stay on track? I “plan” to as well lol. I made it to the gym, the weight training class kicked my butt, I felt great afterwards though. Post workout I had decaf iced coffee with a little half/half, an omelet with peppers, spinach and cheese and turkey sausage. Not sure what’s for lunch….maybe braised short rib or brisket.

We went out last night and I ordered a sandwich. I asked for a box right away and put half the sandwich away to eat for lunch today. Totally worked! I would have wolfed it down had it not been boxed already because it was sooooo good but I so didn’t need the whole thing ๐Ÿ™‚

Ladies, can I join? I’ve done most of the work already ๐Ÿ™‚

What really helped me, besides the fact that I stopped eating cake at work, and started eating a much helthier diet, was to set up a goal. In my case it was the 62 mile Race to the Stones, which took place last weekend. So my SO and I went on many training walks, and started walking as much as possible. I’m on Endomondo and have been making sure to track at least 155 miles a month.

So happy to say we made it! it took over 27 hours of solid walking, but we made it.

I wanted to lose weight for my anniversary/engagement (my SO told me he would propose on our anniversary) which is next Saturday, eek! I have this lovely little dress to get into. I tried it today and it fits perfectly (It was quite tight two weeks ago). It’s a size 4.

My current aim is to maintain my current weight, or maybe lose a little more, by Saturday.

In total, I want to lose 2 more pounds. I already lost 14.

I’m 42 years old, 5’4 and 117 pounds.

MrsWhitneyC2015:  Thank you! And yes, it was horrendously tough. At times I kept saying to myself, “OMG this is tough!” followed by “well, what did you expect, it’s 62 miles, of course it was going to be tough!”. I have to say, I’m glad that’s behind me.

Next year we’re planning a slightly shorter one (52 miles, that’s two back to back marathons). I must be crazy lol

I did good this weekend…I don’t feel like typing everything I ate lol. I made it to the gym Saturday and spent all day Sunday walking funny lol. I will not be weighing myself for a while because I know my body is holding onto more water now that I’ve started exercising again. I think I’ve figured out what I’m buying to reward myself when I lose 20 lbs….5 more lbs to go. Also I’m counting down to August when I will allow myself some ice cream and a fried oreo…I have a feeling I will immediately regret my decision afterwards lol

An old Bee would like to jump on this bandwagon! I’ve gained 40 lbs in the past two years on and off steroids for some health issues and it’s time to get it off! I’m in my 40s–it really does get harder to lose weight as we age–5’7″ and an embarrassing 189 lbs this morning. I’m starting out by walking and eating better/cutting carbs, plus some spot exercises to work on my jiggly arms. I walked 45 mins this am. Focusing on 10 lbs at a time.
