My neighbour’s dog has been driving us INSANE with it’s crying and barking the last week. The thing is, I feel sorry for the poor dog…
Back story: My neighbours are somewhat… not very nice. They have a lot of kids – around 4 or 5 ranging from high school to preschool and the parents are… well… they love a good cussing battle and you can literally hear them yelling and swearing at something, each other or at their kids every.single.night. As if this wasn’t bad enough, they decided to put their dog out into the backyard all of a sudden and the poor thing has been outside the whole time from what I can see. It’s tied to a pole in the corner of the yard and is on a short chain. It is understandably crying, whining and barking but this is has been going on for the whole week.
Granted I’m usually not home during the day but when I get back in the afternoon, the dog is STILL out there chained to the pole. I’m sitting here now (saturday morning) and can hear the crying which confirms my fear that the owner’s aren’t bringing him/her in during nights.
I literally get woken up really early in the morning because of it, even with my windows closed. I can tell my other neighbours are pretty angry too cause they often tell the dog to ‘shut up’ from all sides of the street.
I am very tempted to call RSPCA anonomously, it can’t hurt right? At least they can check if the dog is okay. My friends however have suggested that I go talk to the neighbours. Others have said not to get involved and that I am overreacting since I don’t know the full story. Am I really sounding irrational bees? I apologise for the long rant.. I’m a bit sleep deprived and cranky right now
