I am planning an October 10th wedding and am being super indecisive about my color scheme! I originally wanted an simple outdoor wedding in a barn or at least a reception in a barn, but am now planning a wedding in a church and an indoor reception. So, my problem is, can I still go with the rustic-ish fall theme I was thinking for the outdoor wedding (picture browns, cremes, oranges)? Or should I come up with a better color scheme for an indoor wedding? The wedding will still be an afternoon, casual-ish wedding.
Any great color ideas for fall?
Will a rustic/brown theme like this…. look wierd in a church?
Thanks for your help!!! 🙂
Happy Wedding Planning!!!!

Those are almost exactly my colors and we are having church ceremony and an indoor reception. I think those colors are gorgeous together and you can make your ceremony and reception look rustic looking also. I say that no matter where you are having the ceremony and reception those are perfect fall colors and not to change anything. Still decorate like you were having an outdoor wedding. I think it will be gorgeous!! But I guess I am a little biased, seeing as I’m getting married Oct. 3rd and colors are chocolate brown and burnt orange with ivory accents!!! Good luck!!

I think it would look great! Maybe add in a copper color so it’s less rustic, more….something. I think you should choose colors that you like, regardless of location or season. We have the same date and we’re having a pewter and blush color scheme! Go with what you love!

Thanks for the advice! I think I will stick to the original color scheme and use copper as an accent! I love copper! 🙂

We are having a fall wedding too. I love the colors you have! We are going with burnt orange and slate blue.

My wedding is in the fall and we are going with chocolate brown, gold, and champagne. Although it’s not very fall like if I had to choose any other color scheme it would have been black and white damask with some other accent color.

So I am looking for help with this as well. I want to do a “rustic yet elegant” wedding. I have selected to use green, brown, and creme as my colors, just not sure what exact shades yet. My concern is how do I turn a civic center (not rustic at all) into looking rustic.
I am planning on the obvious, lots of plants, manzanita branch centerpieces, candles but I am just not sure it will be enough.
