When I met with my florist I didn’t realize all the different flowers I’d never heard of and all the different colors flowers come in.  I brought a lot of pictures that I liked but I didn’t know what were in them either.  If your florist is knowledgable than she’ll be able to tell from the picture.  At lot of times I’d point to a picture and say “I really like this but I don’t know what it is” and she’d say “Oh that’s …..”.

My florist brought out about 6 books for me to go through with her and a couple were of colors and then listed each flower that would come in that color.  I was SOOO impressed with her.

If I were you I’d bring these pictures and your ideas to a florist and have her help you come up with bouquets that match your vision.  Even if all you need from her is your bouquet, I think its worth it.  To me other than my dress my bouquet was the next most important thing.

Lisianthus is a relatively inexpensive, long lasting flower that comes in a really deep purple.

Otherwise it looks like that bouquet is 90% orchids -there are some Lady slipper orchids on the left side, some pink phalenopsis in the middle, and perhaps vandas and dendrobiums. I THINK the large ones glued to the branches are fake dendrobiums (the middle part doesn’t have the right “bits”) -at the very least the flowers are dyed.

The leaves on the outside look like a kind of brightly coloured coleus maybe? I think there are dark cala lillies in there too, but the pic is kinda small.
