- Wedding: September 2013
My Fiance is currently in school to be a paramedic. I am working and we are taking on debt for him to do this. We graduated and he couldn’t get a decent job anywhere so he worked at a pool shop and he hated it. We saved some money, bought a condo and he is back in school now. Problem is, economy still hasn’t recovered and it is looking more and more like when he graduates in April 2013, we will have to move for him to find a decent, well paying job.
The terms of us moving is that he has to make enough to cover us both, as I will have to quit my job (I am on the fence about my job, one day I like it, the next I don’t). We will then have to sell our condo and come back to where we have booked our wedding. This job taking/quitting, moving, selling condo will all happen about 1-3 months before the wedding.
He may get a job in our area, but chances are he won’t. There just isn’t availability. I am planning on getting all the wedding stuff done by May so if we have to pack up and move I don’t have to pile DIY projects on top of that and I am working on finishing little things around the condo so its in sell worthy condition in case we have to go.
I am just sad as my life is in limbo. The wedding is only 1 day, and if we move I will be unemployed for a time and can deal with that while he works. It is just the fact that I love our condo and we will have to uproot our life. Just feeling really sad as the reality is hitting…looking for a little support and advice.
