Hopefully (fingers crossed!) Chris is good news, unlike the other two.

You never know until you meet her!

@Pokemon:  Why not ask your mother to have some alone time first? Just you and her, so you can re-establish your relationship, free of your respective significant others?

Wow a CPA exam?! Thats BIG news! Wishing lots of good luck!

But yeah it sucks when Mum’s partners are shitty. But who knows, maybe this new partner is a really great person!

I think you have to go in with an open heart- Chris might be a great lady. Don’t go into it already disliking her for all the things those other people did.

If it turns out she isn’t a great lady then just support your mum when it all turns out bad and then have words with mum about how much it hurts you and your sisters when you see her in these crappy relationships.

There will be be a lot of other people there, so hopefully, if this person is difficult, you won’t have to spend too much time with her.

@Pokemon:  Always think possitive 🙂 Your mum has been sober 2 yrs. Give her some credit, maybe her decision making is better, now that she is sober.
