One of my former lab assistants changed majors and went into Radiology. He loves it! He had a job already waiting for him before he even graduated.

I think its a great field and many times has some interelated options in the over all field, like you could go into nuclear medicine/MRI, and look into ultrasound/sonography. Do you mean medical school to be a radiologist or a rad tech?

Hospitals, doctors offices, imagine clinics- pretty much anywhere people go to seek help, they have jobs for rad techs.

However I think you have to be able to get through physics and the basic sciences. Memorize all the “views” and placing and stuff. I was a medical assistant for a a surgeon that did foot and ankle work and he had old fashion equipment, where I did all the setups, he clicked the button, and then I developed in a dark room. Today, most large places have digital imaging so its more so knowing your views & such.

If you love technical stuff, medicine, and helping people this is an awesome job!!! It does spend lots of time on your feet and moving people around, so take that into consideration too.

My stepmom is a radiologist and she is very much in demand. She had a tough time renewing her boards, but she makes $300k+/year so I think it was worth it 🙂
