I wrote a negative review on an officiant, Colleen McDermott of Marry Me Philadelphia last month and it was taken off of the review site! Colleen now only has 5 star ratings – does weddingbee typically delete the negative reviews and keep the positive? Yea, that’s going to be very helpful to people. Here is what happened:
I requested her services for my weekday elopement 2 months in advance. She made me fill out a special form and I sent it in. She said she’d get back to me in 2 weeks with a quote and never did. I gave her an extra 2 wks and wrote to her asking for the quote and she ignored me. Darling Husband called her a week or two later on a Friday and she texted him to say she’d get back to us after the weekend. I even posted on the bee about how much I wanted to use her and was really hoping she would respond but nothing. Finally, I had find another officiant 2 wks before my wedding. I think it’s very unprofessional to string people along like that. I didnt have budget issues and I was only about 30 minutes from her location so there were no glaring reasons why she wouldn’t have been able to accept the job , or at the very least , say no thanks. There’s no reason to lie to a potential client like that. She deserved the bad review and it should have been left on the site.
