hi bees can y’all help me with getting the dress I want at a better price? When asked for my budget I told the consultant a soft 800 with 100 wiggle room cuz I’ve no idea what a wedding dress should cost. Then I found 2 perfect options: one for $850 plus tax no alterations needed and one for $650 plus tax… but it needs to have some alterations to make it the style I want. And they’re saying “option 2 will allow you to have savings to go towards the cost of alterations”
But I wanna get the $650 for lower and hoping to pay about $760 for it with alterations already. What should I do? I like the savings and I’d like to save even further. This whole wedding business is costly enough as it is.
Thanks gals and guys.

I would by the $850 dress because sometimes alterations can get pricey and takes time. If they gave you a quote of how much and it was around your price range I would go with it but personally I wouldnt risk it especially if there was another dress that was already perfect on it’s own.

What dress are you looking for? Maybe we can help find a pre-owned, purchased but never worn or sample?

I would go with no alterations needed if you are looking for the cheaper option. Alterations on wedding gowns are expensive. Mine cost $450.

Thank you gals. I’m sleeping on it. I donno how people get the free alterations and veil thrown in like that! That’s skillfully done… I can’t be at that level I wish I were 😐
