@julies1949: Unless the dog loves water.  🙂 I’m imagining the sprinkler coming on and the dog being delighted! Jumping, skipping about, chomping at the water stream, and then going just a little bit further to poop in her yard and trotting back home. lol

I live in a townhouse complex and we have a neighbor that lets their shit everywhere.  When we find it we leave it on their front steps and we just recently stained all the stairs/decks a dark brown so the poop blends in.  I am so tired of stepping their dogs crap and having my dog step in and track it in MY house.  A*holes!

haha…we have this problem on occassion.  To help me relax, I look at it as additional fertilzer.  But yes, it’s gross and disrespectful for the owners not to do something about this.  I think talking about them about it isn’t a bad idea.  good luck!

@Ms Mini:  That’s great!!!  Thank you for giving me a nice laugh!

I love my dog and dogs in general, but that is ridiculous.  I first try to verify that it’s that dog that’s the culprit before politely approaching the owner.

A neighbor just put up a sign in our neighborhood. Something like “Please do not leave your dog’s poop in our courtyard. If you aren’t going to pick up his poop, walk him in your own yard.” But he used another word instead of poop.

I really dislike people who don’t pick up their dog’s poo. It makes all of us dog owners look bad, even though I’m always picking up the poo.

I love animals…I would say use a bb gun on the dog, but it’s not the doggy’s fault..he’s just going to the potty outside like he was taught. His owners are the ones who need a bb in the butt lol. I’d honestly let it slide a few times but then i’d ask them to please pick up after their dog or keep him out of my yard. if that didn’t work i’d start scooping the poop and putting it on their porch – or next to their car door (they’ll def. see that)….

@trugem:  I would talk to the owners about their dog roaming loose and the poop in the yard.  If it doesn’t get better after that, call animal control and have the dog picked up.  If the owners have to bail him out of jail and pay a fine, that might get the message across.

My parents had an neighbor who would always allow their dog to poop in the yard. Somehow we figured out the time that he was coming by (it was pretty late at night). I came home one evening and saw that he was out on his walk but still a few houses down. I ran inside, woke my mom up to tell her, and we both hid outside waiting for him. We followed the dog and owner back to their house to find out exactly where they lived. My mom sent him a letter with the information about the city’s ordinance that disallows pets pooping in yards. No problems since 🙂

ETA: Glad that you have resolved everything.

@trugem:

Jeesh I cannot believe they would actually walk THROUGH your yard, that is beyond rude!

I hope you guys can resolve this now!
