CaitlinAwesome:  Heroes IV is one of my favorite games of all times, especially the original order campaign.  I also liked III.

kkfirerose:  I wonder if it would be possible to use the music from Still Alive from Portal without making everyone crack up.  There’s a lot of good stuff relating to Lord of the Rings, I like one that I think is called The Road Goes Ever On or Hobbit Walking Song or some such depending on the version.  We had my little bro read The Ent and the Entwife at our ceremony, which I think has musical versions available.

I’m walking down the aisle to “I don’t want to set the world on fire” by the Inkspots.

CaitlinAwesome:  Your music choices are fab! Aniron from LOTR is so beautiful.

I’ll have to give this some thought when it’s not 1.30am, because I love finding beautiful music in video games and movies, but here are some off the top of my head: Bioware has some of the most gorgeous soundtracks around, so look up the romance themes in all three Dragon Age games for some amazing instrumentals. The Assassins Creed series gives me major tingles, AC2 in particular. Dearly Beloved from Kingdom Hearts has some heartwrenching piano and strings. For pretty background music try Ori and the Blind Forest or Journey, or for something more cutesy try Animal Crossing.

On a more personal note, I’d like to surprise my bf with the ending theme from Adventure Time as our exit music. 🙂

We’re using quite a few songs from VSQ for our ceremony and reception. I’m going to walk down the isle to Kingdom Hearts – Dearly Beloved, and Lord Of The Rings – Concerning Hobbits as the music playing while people wait for the ceremony to start.

I forgot the link 🙂

We used “Circle of Life” for the first part of the procession and “Kiss the Girl” for DH’s part, and the GoT theme for our recessional.

The rest of the music was songs from film & tv that our string quartet already knew, so a bunch more Disney 🙂

Subtle? Hmm… Our wedding party is walking in to “The Shape of Things to Come” from Battlestar Galactica, which is pretty subtle. But my fiance is walking in to the Skyrin theme. Definitely not subtle! And I will be walking to the theme from The Princess Bride. I think we are also using Enya’s Aniron from LOTR during the ceremony, as well, if we can figure out how to make it happen.

Instrumental Final Fantasy songs are soooo beautiful! You could go with old school ones from the earlier FFs, or you could explore their more newer ones too! I love that others have also used VG music during their ceremonies!!! wohoo!

thatweddinggirl:  I just find that AC2 isn’t soft enough… I tried to find something that would fit but it all sounded too adventure-y… Unless there’s a song I missed?

Anything Final Fantasy. FH also likes Kingdom Hearts. But you can also find classical versions of almost any song nowadays.

I suggest Final Fantasy VIII’s “Eyes on Me” for a classic love song, Katamari Damacy’s “Que Sera Sera” for something more jazzy, and Persona 4 Dancing All Night’s “Your Affection” for something more pop/upbeat.

CaitlinAwesome: I personally love ‘Tour of Venice’, which is probably the softest song on the OST, but I agree that most of the songs may be a bit much for a wedding, haha.

we are doing a nerdy/bookish wedding and all of our songs for things are exactly that– nerdy if you know it but subtle if you dont. Warning: we are huge LOTR fans. its kind of ridiculous…

Songs we are using for the Seating Music: Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross: Dream of the Shore Near Another World, Phantom of the Opera, and V for Vendeta (our wedding is on Nov 5th–hehe) Chrono Cross , Chrono Cross- Dream of the Shore Near Another World , Phantom of the Opera Compliation , V for Vendeta

Seating of the Parents/Grandparents: Thousand Years (Twilight)

Bridesmaids: Concerning Hobbits (LOTR)

Bride Entrance: Dreaming of Bag End (LOTR)

Recessional: Flaming Red Hair (LOTR)

Cocktail Hour: All the James Bond Theme Songs (Skyfall, Spectre, etc) and also Johnny be good (Back to the Future)

Intro to Reception: Throne Room (Star Wars)

Dinner Music: Cantina Band (Star Wars) , and all the Piano Guys songs

1st Dance Bride and Groom: Jurassic Park (starting at 0:45)

Father/Daughter Dance: Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz)

Still need a Monther/Son song…….

Cake Cutting: Be Our Guest (Beauty and the Beast)

Still need to find songs for garter and bouquet toss….

Last Slow song: Last Goodbye (LOTR/Hobbit)  I know this is kind of a sad song but LOTR and Hobbit is such a big part of our lives and we are going to New Zealand for 3 weeks for our honeymoon so we thought it was perfect as the last song we will dance to

Exit Music: (under a bridge of sparklers) LOTR Theme ( at 1:26)

Ive given this a lot of thought as you can see. Music is very important to US so i wanted to make sure it was all meaningful to us. who cares if no one else gets it!
