We are having our first pre-cana session with the priest who will be performing our ceremony, on Friday. We aren’t able to attend the regularly scheduled classes, as we live in the Florida Keys and the closest classes are in Miami, and offered only on the weekends. Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem for a couple to spend the weekend in Miami and attend classes…HOWEVER, I am the Director of Sales and Catering for 2 resorts down here, and as you all know weekends at resorts=weddings!!!! Which means that I am working every weekend they are offered. So….Future Mother-In-Law spoke with the Deacon and they agreed for us to do one-on-one pre-cana with the priest.
All that said, I am extremely nervous for the Friday and have no idea what to expect. I am actually Lutheran and Fiance is Catholic…we are getting married in his church, which is extremely important to him (this is where he was baptized, did his First Communion, was Confirmed, served as alter boy, etc). He of course isn’t nervous at all, but I’m already getting a nervous stomach over the whole thing.
So, what should I be expecting and do you have any advice for me going into this first session? TIA!
