Yes! I was terrified before going into every appointment, .and the 12 week nuchal with blood work really freaked me out. It’s normal. I’m 30 weeks now and can tell you things get better. You’ll feel calmer as the pregnancy develops, take deep breaths 😊

Redholix :  It’s normal to be nervous!  I’m sure everything will be just fine though.  This website helped me when I was at that stage.  Your odds of having a live adorable little baby are 98.3% at this point!  https://datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer.php

Redholix :  you’re going to come up with a reason to be nervous at every appointment and ever onward. I remember being so relieved at the 20 week ultrasound to see that intact spine even though there was no reason to think I’d gone wrong with getting my vitamins naturally. There’s always something.  Welcome to motherhood!

Most people don’t have a belly yet by 12 weeks (at least for your first pregnancy). I’m 15w1d now and just started to notice a bump in the last week. It kinda came out of nowhere to be honest lol good luck at your appointment! (The smiley faces over my face are way creepier than intended, my bad)

I think everyone has some nervous feelings throughout their pregnancy- I haven’t felt the baby move, am I too big/small, what if there’s something wrong with (name that body part).  You’re in good company.  The best thing you can do is try go keep thinking positively, and I’m sure everything will be just fine!  Enjoy the next 6 mos or so- it will fly by!

Yeah, I was a nervous wreck before all my 1st trimester scans, and even before the 20 week scan.  At 12 weeks I had no belly to speak of…even at 20 weeks it was barely noticeable to anyone but me. Yet little bean was healthy and growing right on track! Everything you said sounds totally normal and the statistics are definitely on your side at this point, but I definitely understand the anxiety. Sending good vibes your way!

I have my 11 week on Wednesday!! I didn’t get an 8 week appointment in, so it’s my first… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous too.

Praying both our appointments go well and our little ones (according to my app, I have a Lego guy in there πŸ˜‰ are safe and healthy!

Redholix :  I think ist pretty common to be nervous. I was nervous for all my 1st trimester appts. Still get nervous about appts but the first trimester I think I was the most anxious. All was fine! I didnt have a belly at 12 weeks. In fact I only had a barely noticable one at 20. It will get easier once you feel the baby move but yes I remember all too well those first few months I was so nervous! Most likely all is fin,  especially since you said you werent having any issues. Congrats and hopes the time goes quickly for you until your appt!!

Redholix :  Yay for a healthy ultrasound…congrats!!!

I had the same problem with blood draws in the first trimester. i’ve never had this issue in my entire life…but something about getting pregnant made my veins run dry. Which seems counterintuitive because I thought blood quantity is supposed to significantly increase in pregnancy! Humph. anyway sorry about that – hopefully you’ll have better luck tomorrow!
