@adillon1:  We’re currently TTC, and I’ve wanted babies for as long as I can remember. It still freaks me out sometimes. What you’re feeling is totally normal. A few years ago, when a friend of mine was preggers, we had this conversation:

Me: Wow. That’s so amazing that there’s another life in you. Like not just bacteria but another human being.

Her: I know. It really blows my mind sometimes.

Me: Yeah motherhood. So beautiful…

Her: Yeah…

Me: Okay, but seriously, does it ever seem kind of, you know, freaky?

Her: OMG YES! It’s SO bizarre. Especially when the baby MOVES.

Me: *shudder* So weird.

Her: Totally.

@adillon1:  Nope not abnormal at all. Being pregnant is a major adjustment. I’m 25 weeks and there are still things happening that shock me. I was worried how I was going to feel and how my body was going to react. It’s been interesting but the best part is knowing that there’s a little piece of me and Darling Husband growing inside me. And I love her so much already. Words cannot express how much I love my daughter and I can’t wait to meet her! That’s what gets me through those weird moments. Knowing that there’s an end in sight. And it has helped that I’ve been able to talk to other women who are pregnant and due the same time as me on Weddingbee. Good luck! And it’s ok to be nervous! Wink

@adillon1:  We are a few years away from TTC (I am about to turn 29), but yes, the thought of pregnancy kind of freaks me out. I have no problem around children, but like you mentioned, a baby moving around inside of me is a little scary. Also, I have worked hard to keep my body fit and have a rather “flat” stomach….I will be kind of sad/scared to see it grow bigger.

I’m not TTC anytime in the near future on purpose and while I love my almost 7 month old nephew/godson tremendously, I am not ready to have my own baby. Thankfully my fiancé changed his view from a few years ago, because he said he HAD to have a baby before he turned 30. Well, he turns 30 in November (I’ll be 27 in July), he said he’s not ready yet either. Such a relief!! I think it will be so weird to be pregnant and a mom!! One day I will rhough, in a few years…

@harperlynn:  Oh man. Just wait til it’s big enough to be moving around and pressing outwards. You’ll look down and see the impression of a foot or a hand. Gah! Congratulations btw! Wink

I’m 22 weeks and still think it’s really weird.  Also totally freaked out by the moving around, and that it’s going to come out my vajayjay and be real live person.

I’m a good 5 years from TTC and getting pregnant freaks me out too. I want to be a mom, and I want my own, biological kids if I can help it, but growing a person just seems strange.

@HisMoon:  Gah I can’t even IMAGINE it. I’m so nervous for it all! It’s just weird to think there is a person inside of you. I mean really when you think about it! A FREAKING PERSON in your STOMACH. aghhh?!?!?!!?!?

Thank you so much!

@Vikstar:  Thank you!!! LOL, I’m very nervous!

@SapphireSun: Congratulations!!! Omg I know that’s the worse part (coming out the vajayjay).  Who thought of that brilliant plan?

I think your feelings are normal. From someone who is 8 months pregnant: yes, it can be a little weird feeling like your body is no longer your own. But it’s also really cool at the same time – you’re growing a tiny person. The baby’s movements are not as weird as I expected. After a while, you’ll find them comforting and you’ll freak out if you don’t feel anything for a period of time.

@adillon1:  I am not pregnant nor are we TTC right now, but pregnancy terrifies me! I am fine with the giving birth portion and raising a child, but having something inside of me makes me so uneasy. I am getting a little light headed just thinking about it!
