I’m getting married next month and bought my non-traditional lilac and champagne dress a year ago. We’re getting married in a castle, it’s going to be really hot and we’ve kept it as a casual dress code.
Here’s the dress:
The dress is tailored to just below the knee. As the day is approaching I’m getting nervous about wearing a colourful dress and thinking of packing it in and buying a white dress off of ASOS.
Is anyone wearing a non traditional dress and how are they feeling? xx

All I can think is your dress is absolutely gorgeous and I’m super jealous. 🤗 I was set on nontraditional but Fiance wants to see me in a more traditional dress so I’ve compromised. Ceremony dress is ivory (looks cream) but reception dress will be red. Technically not all that traditional since it was listed as a prom dress but it’ll do.

Ahh thank you! 😀
I keep feeling like I’m going to look back at photos and think “A white dress would have been more flattering”, but fiance and I are not traditional/religious in any way so I thought I would have fun with it!
I love the idea of wearing red to the reception by the way!

What a beautiful dress!
Dont pack it in and buy a white dress! You do you!! You’ll regret not wearing it, I love to see something a bit different and this is beautiful

I really wanted something other than the usual white/ivory. I wore a gold and champagne dress (the same colour as yours) and don’t regret it one bit as I still felt ‘bridal’ on the day. Your dress is absolutely stunning! Please share the recap photos!

Thank you! Feeling less nervous and more excited now that it’s been positive reactions 😀
The designer sent me the same overlay fabric to make a veil out of, still deciding whether to use it because it might be a bit overkill.
Hair wise I was thinking something like this:
I’m wearing my grandma’s gold earrings and these shoes:
The bouquet is going to be lavender, purple and champagne as well.
