BakerBee16:  I’m no stranger to having moles removed, and have had a few spitz nevus and a melanoma removed at 24. BUT, even if they do find something, you are young and they’ve most likely caught it before it turned into anything serious. With my melanoma, I had to go back and have a (bunch) of additional skin removed around it to be safe. I have a scar, but other than that, it was fine.

Nevermind -just saw your update.

BakerBee16:  For acne, try something like St.Ive’s apricot scrub.  It may help.

beemyname:  Sorry, the apricot scrub is a bad idea!  It’s really rough on the skin, and really shouldn’t go anywhere near your face.  Chemical exfoliants are much gentler; if you want to stick within the St. Ives family, they have a scrub-free exfoliating pad that’s excellent.  As far as acne goes, there are plenty of gentle face washes with salicylic acid that would be a much better choice than a scrub.

Phamnomenon:  I know for a fact, that apricot scrub was good for my face. I discovered that fact before it was ever marketed (to my knowledge) for acne. I stopped using scrubs because the quality of the one I had been using dropped, on top of the fact that I could no longer afford it. I know it can be harsh on the skin. I don’t think I ever would use it every day on my face. Everyone’s skin is different.  I did not realise that the majority of her acne problem is on the face. However,  I still think a scrub may be able to help. I did not specify a brand except to give an example of the type of product that has worked for me.

Also, you should not use it to scrub the face! Gently apply, and then rinse off with flowing water, dab off face.
