I booked our honeymoon, all inclusive to Aruba, and now am nervous that maybe I did something wrong. I have received one response back with the confimation and flight details, but I just feel like something is missing. As anyone else had this horrible feeling that they will show up at the resort and find out they dont have a reservation or it is not what you thought your had purchased?

I travel frequently and I ALWAYS call a few days ahead to make sure everything is ok. Do that, as it will put your mind at ease.

Yes, call right now and make sure everything is booked and then call again a week ahead of time to double check. I do this on all my vacations now after I booked a resort suite for a week and then when we got there nothing was booked. They crammed 4 people into a 2-bed small room (the suite actually had two beds, but in seperate rooms with a shared kitchen). Not very romantic for us or the couple that came along.
Also Orbitz wouldn’t refund our money because we still got to stay at the resort and do all our excursions. So, we over paid $900 for a tiny bedroom. I was so mad and will not book through Orbitz anymore. I either use a travel agent or book directly with the resort.

Were you sure to include the transfers and insurance?
Which all inclusive did you book?
Do you have a way to monitor the flights for changes? We have an average of 7 per week come thru.
Unfortunately, when you book online you almost always run the risk of getting bumped. There was even a couple that booked their Greek Island honeymoon on Expedia, and when they arrived they learned that the hotel was closed for the season. Expedia refused to help them until they could confirm that the hotel was really closed, which never happened. They ended paying for 2 honeymoons, and fighting for a refund. You can read more about it here.
We have a very strict “no walk” policy with all of our vendors, which means the hotel we book our clients in is the hotel that they will stay in. In the last five years, we’ve only had one couple get bumped, and that was in Rome, from a three star to a five star. If someone is going to get bumped to another hotel it’s going to be someone who booked on Orbitz, not our client.
Your honeymoon is a huge financial investment! Booking online may seem easy, but if something goes wrong they rarely have your back!

Thank you ladies for your responses. I booked through Cheap Caribbean and I just looked on line and everything seems to be in order, but i will give the resort a call just to confirm. Thanks again
