Hi bees. So my wedding has a neutral/nude/white colour scheme – the only colour are in the groom/groomsmen whom are navy blue with an ivory tie. My bridesmaids are ivory, my dress is beige with white lace…I havent decided on my bouquet but my bridesmaid will have baby breath bouquets, white and beige tablecloths, maybe some burlap, centerpieces with white lace…still havent figured it all out yet. So basically my main colours are white, nude, brown…everything that is neutral. On the other hand, Im having a candy bar and Im scared that an all white candybar will be too much white. Also, not much choice of candy if I keep it on the white and brown colours. I cannot have chocolate because of the heat (also a big problem to find for sale..they would melt before arriving home!). So what would you do? Would you add a colour to the candy bar? Im also not liking the idea of pink because I am thinking I either go all out on a bold colour rather than blush…I dont know..im confused 🙁 I was thinking making a blue red and white candy bar (like a striped sailor theme, navy blue stripes) or all the colours combined together…but will it be too much next to my all neutral wedding theme? Im not liking any ideas either way but dont know what to do. Im definitely against the all white/brown candy coz its plain and I dont have much choice of candy. I like all the pics I find on google but I dont know if it will be right. I already gave my deposit and booked the candy bar so I have to do it. Any help plz?

I would do bold colour candy – think M&Ms. It iwll look way better than the sailor theme and one colour!

I agree with PP. I think you should do bold colors. I was thinking Candy Crush style.

I vote for not caring what colors the candy is, and just focusing on things you and your guests will enjoy!

niki2015: I don’t know if this would work, but what if you got Navy containers? Then you could have any color candy you want. You could also get some clear ones for any navy/white/ivory candy you find.

If navy blue is the only color in your palette, I would use it with white and ivory for the candy bar. Why have a mishmash of unrelated colors?

I had a neutral wedding color scheme, ivory, light gold, beige, and also a neutral candy/dessert bar, but my “accent” was blush pink. It didnt seem too much. I didn’t worry about the color of the actual dessert or candy. I think going with red white and blue would look really out of place. Here is a photo.

I’d just go with blues and neutrals. Here are some more inspriation photos that might help you.

Meh quite frankly no one is going to “care” except for you what the colors of the candy bar table set will be. Just pick candies you and your Fiance like to have in your candy favors. No will even remember what the colors are/were

Sassygrn: I completely agree.
We had a candy bar with our fav candies regardless of color. We had no complaints! The prices at Costco were very reasonable and we came in under budget. Our colors were black and pink and we incorporated them in the take home candy boxes.

Blue is “not” actually in the colour theme except for the groomsmen wearing a suit in that colour.
MsCarabiner: i already got clear glass vases, containers….
julies1949: amberback: as you can see in your pics, there are a lot of chocolate based candy….so if i eliminate the chocolate ones, there is not much left to chose from
i was also thinking of going with all colours…but i think it will look like a carnival in the middle of the vintage neutral wedding…

Jijitattoo: i also thnk that guests would not care…but i care and i would like everything to be all matchy!! But guests will notice everything especially if its all matched up with the theme!

niki2015: People do eat chocolate all year round. Is your wedding outside? If it is inside, is the venue not air conditioned?
Any chocolate that is candy coated will be fine.
There are lots of white candies to be had.

There’s a ton of white candy available. I’d do it all white and it will be beautiful!

julies1949: unless there is a storm…i pray to god that there wont be, it is outside! i also was going to do cupcakes with elegant icing like lace, i cant find anyone to do them coz of the heat, the icing wont keep solid. Today, autumn, it is still 80 deg fah. In summer it could easily go up to a 100deg fah. Humidity is 100%. People ask me why r u doing it outside when at the same venue there is inside with aircon….i really want it outside coz im having trees, a live band having a view of the valley, fireworks! In summer we really dont eat chocolate because it melts in your hands! Chocolate coated with candy is fine but i cant fill it all with that!
