    Yes, it looks so fun!

    No thanks, not interested.

    I'd rather be the bride.

I was asked twice but only was a Bridesmaid or Best Man for one. The first time when I was asked, I couldn’t go as I chose to attend my grandma’s funeral. I’ve never been an Maid/Matron of Honor.

The first and (so far) last time I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man, I think it costed me quite a bit for my dress, shoes, hair, make-up and chipping in for a stagette/bridal shower. Ball park of $500+; I was a university student then.

I honestly would be careful of who you agree being a Bridesmaid or Best Man or Maid/Matron of Honor to. If we’re the ones picking BMs, choose the ones that are closest to us. Or at the very least, the ones that are smart enough to THINK before they SAY anything, hah.

To me, as a bride, I think it’s much more fun to have more flower-girls (or junior bridesmaids) than having BMs. It’s more magical for the younger ones when they feel like princesses. I’m only having one Maid/Matron of Honor (long-distance), who is my best friend/closest thing to a sister. 🙂 I am paying for my Flower Girl and MOH’s dresses — hence, I’m keeping my bridal party small.

I have been a Bridesmaid or Best Man a lot and most of the experiences have been good. However after reading posts by brides on this and other wedding forums yeah I would probably hope not to be asked.
