I purchased my dress 2 years ago on Ebay (its from Davids Bridal) I went in knowing exactly which one I wanted to try on and fell in love! Tonight while browsing on boards I came across the “sit test” and my chest literally tightened! My dress was preowned and has the seams let out on the sides (im hippy) it fit perfectly, then. I need to lose 7.5 lbs before the wedding. My dress is at my moms or else id try it on right now! But since its a bit tight now I think id be to afraid to sit and risk ripping it!
This is how it WILL fit! If i cant sit do you think it could just be hiked up a few inches before sitting?

I see no problem hiking it up if that works to make it more comfortable. When you sit (for dinner) I’m assuming you will be behind a table and tablecloth so nobody would even see.

I’m not sure of the answer to your question but just wanted to say – I was very tempted by this dress when I tried it on – it was just not quite long enough for me
It’s such a lovely dress!

I think you can hike it up. That helps me sit in my dress.

I never thought to do a sit test either – and realized this on the day of my wedding when I got into the car driving me to the venue. It was so tight I could barely breathe but I think that may have helped because by the time dinner came and I sat again, it was much more comfortable.
