My ring is really snug and hard to get off, so I put lotion on my hands while wearing my ring. I then wipe off any lotion that gets on my ring with a napkin/towel and go about my day. I scrub down my ring every day and soak it twice a week, so a little lotion isn’t going to kill it.

I use my right hand to lotion if I need it at all which is only my legs usually. I don’t lotion my arms too much.

Why is everyone putting so much lotion on their hands???

Mine get extremely dry from the cold winter temps and constant handwashing to avoid being sick.
I take my rings off and just sit them on my thigh while I lotion then put them back on immediately.

I put lotion on with my ring on, I spread it on my hands and then over my fingers, I don’t squish it near the ring

ya I don’t think I ever have any lotion in my house lol. It’s interesting reading what others do!

Which risk are you more willing to take: having rings lost or stolen due to taking them off, or having lotion get on your ring due to not taking it off?

I have lotion in my house but I’ve never carried it around with me, or need to apply more than just at home? Different weather must play into this as well.

Lol. I can always tell when someone is brown/black because we don’t mess around with lotion. It’s why we stay so young looking.
I take my ring off and put it on my phone is doing hand lotion and my ring doesn’t go on in the morning until I’m done lotioning.

I don’t wear lotion much, but when I do, I just avoid applying it to the ring area. Again, I don’t want to lose my ring because I chose to take it off.

I put lotion on my hands every time I wash, which is a lot during pregnancy lol. Cold Boston weather + dealing with paper half the day + naturally dry skin = lotion everywhere all the time. I keep it in every room of my house, on my desk at the office, and some in my purse.

lol I was about to suggest the same thing! Just make sure you don’t accidentally eat it!!
If I’m at work or at a friend’s place I take it off and set it on a table or something, lotion up, put it back on, but if I’m straight out in public I hold it in my mouth while I use lotion.

Thank you so much, all of weddingbees! I feel like it depends on person if they take off or not. I just don’t like lotion get into the details of my ring, so I really want to take off when I put lotion, but I also feel it is too much work to take off everytime when I put lotion because my ring is very tight.

I have designated my right front pocket for my rings when I take them off in public. The only reason i do this is to apply lotion and to wash my lunch dishes at work.
