I didn’t think I’d be a mason jar bride at all. But when I decided to have a favor in addition to our photobooth, I thought how easy/great it would be to have homemade hot cocoa mix.
A) It’s super easy to make in bulk
B) No cooking required
C) It’s a late-fall wedding, and what could be better than something that warms you up inside?
D) It’s pretty inexpensive
I thought about putting them in baggies, but figured it would look a lot nicer to have them in jars. Anyway, any suggestions on where to get mini (2-4oz) mason jars in bulk for cheap?

We bought all of them from a local grocery store (we did homemade mustards as a favor). Because it was a local store (not a chain) they were willing to work with us on a bulk discount and they ended up just charging us their cost!

I used a bunch for my friend’s baby shower last fall and I found them at Target. However, you can probably get them for cheaper online. Have you checked E-bay?

Michaels has them for cheap, in bulk, in the wedding section…specifically for favors…so does Party city…

Since you aren’t actually having to re-vacuum seap them, do you have any friends who have baby food jars? They would work since the point is to contain the powder, not to persevere something.

Meijer and Walmart have them I think… You can buy them in a box of like 36 or something like that.

Google mason jars in bulk. You can usually find a site that sells all different sizes in bulk for fairly cheap. That’s what we’re doing (making my great grandmothers jam recipe to hand out).

My mom found all of ours on ebay!

@HelleCat: Specialty Bottle Co. is great! I bought a bunch of tiny cobalt bottles from them – very cheap 🙂

I bought my 4 oz jars from Walmart for my jelly & jam favors. They were $7.97 + tax for 12.
