Long time lurker and first time poster.
When my husband and I eloped (no guests) we didn’t take wedding photos. I know we will be married two years next year and we really want wedding photos now. would it be wrong to take the wedding photos we never took or just forget it?

why would it be wrong? Go ahead and take some wedding photos. You can always re-say your vows and call it a re-affirmation ceremony or whatever.

I didn’t know if it was wrong since we are already married…good idea..thank you 😬

take the photos! we don’t need a concrete reason for taking photos… you could take some couple shots with your husband just because, or you could take them in your wedding outfits as an anniversary… but for me, the answer is always ‘take the photos!’ (too many times where I have looked back and thought ‘if only…’)

You will never regret having the pictures, but you might regret not having them. 🙂 Sounds like you already do! Easy choice!

Anniversary photos will be just as nice as wedding photos if you feel silly about calling them ‘wedding’ when it’s not one. Have a blast!

Take the photos and have fun 🙂 You can keep them for yourselves, or share them with others depending on what you want to do with the pictures. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary!

I mean they’re not going to actually be wedding photos but you can totally dress up and take couple/anniversary/marriage celebrating photos.

Totally get them! Even dress up in all of your wedding stuff if you want to! I think it’s a great idea 🙂

in the old day my plan was always to have photos done after the wedding… I HATE the waiting around while people take photos so we arent having a photographer, we might still have studio photos taken on a later date (im not sure)
I dont think there is anything wierd about it at all

Go for it- they’re just going to be portraits of you and hubs (not of family and such) but do it. I would recommend going all out though so they look nice. Meaning if you’re good with doing your own hair & make-up then do that and add on some falsies… otherwise it’s a great excuse to go get a mini make-over at the mall and have a hair dresser put some curls in. Does DH have a suit to wear? It’s not worth renting for him but you can always dress up a suit really nicely or get a vest and tie to look good.
I would even consider asking a local florist or talented friend to put together a very tiny bouquet just to give you something to hold on to.
Have fun with it.
