My new e-ring, the James Allen double halo that is inspired by the Tiffany Soleste. It’s absolutely stunning.
0.5 carat cushion, F, VS1 with F-G sidestones. Total carat weight 1.02. Ring size 6.
I’m in love! I think this is a really good replica of the Soleste, especially for being a stock setting. The biggest different is that the split shank is higher up and blends earlier than the Tiffany ring. Other than that it achieves exactly what I was going for – a delicate double halo with excellent quality for agreat price.

@wrkbrk: I was between this one and the Duet from Blue Nile. Besides picking a diamond being SO much easier with James Allen, I also love that this ring is made with F-G sidestones that are VS2-SI1. I believe the BN duet is made with H-I color stones that are I1 average clarity. The way this halo just is so WHITE and sparkly tells me I went the right direction!
Thanks for the kind words ladies!
I know I searched for pics of this setting on real hands and couldn’t find any when I was looking so here are a few more. In the car, overcast and sun just went down.

Wow, I may like that more than the soleste! I have no tiffany hate but I am never blown away by their settings – this one though is very cool!

I feel like from looking at pictures, the shank width on mine is a bit thicker than on the Tiffany. Mine is 2.2 mm. At first, this bothered me because I am used to very thin-shank rings – 1.8 mm was my last ring. But, I think that the melee will be more secure in the thicker metal, so I trade off a tiny bit of aesthetics for better peace of mind. I’m sure I will not even notice the thickness change in a few weeks!

pharmy:
Oh my gosh. I am in the process of deciding on this almost exact setting from James Allen (no diamonds on the side/shank). I currently have a E color, 1.5 carat round brilliant diamond in a solitaire setting…but Fiance says I may upgrade for my bday in September — 2 weeks before we say I do!
Hope its as lovely as yours!!!!!! Do you like how its not really a perfect circle but not really a square?

pharmy: ugh, LOVE! I’m planning to upgrade my setting for my stone, and love that the JA double halo isn’t too square, but also isn’t round. I love everything about your ring! The size is perfect on your finger!!! I’m wondering if a double halo will be too much since I’m also a size 6 and my stone is a 2.01 RB? What do you think? I don’t mind blingy, but don’t want it to be overly gaudy. Seriously, your ring is so stunning, I might just say screw it and go for it because that is gorgeous!
