@lucyv2003:  I have BEEN there sister! My Fiance actually TOLD me that he had purchased a ring and was just waiting for the right time………… 3 months went by. We went to Costa Rica. I thought “This would be a great time to propose”. He didn’t. The holidays came and went. Our one year anniversary included a hot air balloon ride. I thought “Now THIS would be a perfect time to pop the question”. Still nothing. About 8 months later I had just come home from seeing a movie with my sister and he stopped me in the living room, dropped to one knee, and finally the ring emerged! Our two dogs were watching. We popped a bottle of champagne and celebrated what turned out to be a very special night.

My point is, it WILL be special no matter how or when it happens. It’s a life changing event. And it will be memorable no matter what! So stop waiting and hoping and imagining (trust me I know it’s hard) because it will happen when you least expect it.

@lucyv2003:  P.S. If that is the ring he’s planning on buying you, then you are ONE LUCKY GIRL. It’s beautiful. I’m sure you want nothing more than to just wear the darn thing! But just relax and let it happen. You will have your whole life to drool over it! Laughing

I was totally in your shoes just three short weeks ago. We went on several trips that I didn’t enjoy to their full potential because  I was “waiting” which always ended with disappointment. He ended up proposing at his place in a very sweet and intimate way. He took shells we have collected on all of our beach walks and spelled out Will You Marry Me with them. While there could have been a million exciting moments on our trips I loved how private his proposal was. Hold on I know it is hard, but at least have faith and be thankful that you know it is going to happen. And know you are not alone you have had good company on the road you are walking. Can’t wait to hear your engagement story!
