I haven’t stepped on a scale for a while but I had atleast 40lbs to lose 4 months ago. I am probably up to about 50 to lose. I started tracking via weight watchers online back on january 2nd and have been doing well. My pants are feeling a tad looser thank goodness!

Good luck! I have lost 55+lbs so far; from 220 to 170lbs. I use Tumblr as a way to document my weight loss and I follow tons of great people who post motivational things which really helps! I’d recommend you join that and search things like ‘gym’ and ‘motivation’. I know you can lose it! 🙂

Also, do take before pictures. You really don’t notice your weight coming off until you look back.

I am not quite sure how much I’m trying to lose, probably about 50, but I’m 196 right now. My Fiance and I decided to try primal/paleo and so far it’s absolutely amazing. I mean, I lost 8 lbs in the last week and he has lost about 5 lbs.

Some of the positives I have experienced thus far: I don’t need to eat a ton of food anymore because what I do eat fills me up, I have so much more energy, my skin looks amazing (I was breaking out a ton which isn’t normal for me), I am sleeping better, my digestion is perfect, and I’m just plain happier. I also don’t get hangry anymore and I don’t have a mid-day lull like I normally do.

I’d recommend anyone try it! The first few days are difficult and it does take commitment and some planning, but it gets so much easier and even fun! I plan on continuing primal/paleo for a long time if everything continues to go well.

@gettinghealthy38:  MyFitnessPal app! it helped me so much. I didn’t realize what I was putting into my body before; I used to snack on Oreo’s but once I used the app I found things like that were almost 500cal. Right now I am on SlimFast (wedding is in April so I’m on crunch time), I’ve lost 5lbs so far. I find the SlimFast helps me in the aspect of keeping my cal count, but before the SF I consumed 1500cal a day which was the biggest help!

@gettinghealthy38:  Here is a typical day for me:

Breakfast: two egg muffins with bacon and veggies (make these on the weekend for the weekdays)

Snack (if I get hungry): apple with a small amount of almond butter or a handful of berries

Lunch: huge salad, topped with leftover chicken, olive oil, salt, pepper and avocado (maybe balsamic if I’m feeling it)

Snack: a few pieces of cheese or two slices of deli meat

Dinner: this ranges a ton and can include: stuffed peppers, meatballs and zucchini noodles with marinara (the best meal ever!!!), steak and veggies, pulled pork, or a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store with mashed parsnips or cauliflower. There are tons of recipes online and I haven’t made any that aren’t extremely freaking delicious yet.

@gettinghealthy38:  I’m getting married April 27th this year! haha, congrats! Try doing some pilates videos off youtube, or getting some free weights to do your own gym exercises at home. My Fiance and I both have a thing for fast food and pizza, so now we only eat out once a week on Fridays, it helps alot with cravings to be able to look forward to that meal!
