About a month ago, my hair all of a sudden started to get really oily. I shower every morning, but I normally only wash my hair every other morning. Well, about a month ago, two things happened:
1. I switched to a new birth control, which is the generic of Seasonale, the one that you get your period only every three months.
2. I started running (an therefore washing my hair) every single day.
I think both of these things could contribute, the birth control because of hormones, and washing my hair every day because I’ve heard that that makes your oil glands more active.
Anyways, it’s really annoying to have really ‘heavy’ feeling hair by lunch time basically and I don’t know what to do!
Does anyone know of any suppluments, vitamins, certain types of shampoos (I’ve heard tea tree oil is good for this but it’s expensive!)
Please let me know! ANY help is appreciated! I know this is a weird topic…

I don’t know your hair type, so not sure what advice to give. Does your hair stink if you don’t wash it everyday now is that why you wash it or does it get really sweaty? Have you tried switching to a shampoo that is lighter and meant for daily washing and a lighter conditioner?

I have pretty long straight hair and it’s really fine. It was perfectly fine to wash just every other day, but by the end of the second day I had to put it in a pony tail. Now, by the end of the first day it’s in a pony tail. Since I have fine hair, it breaks a lot so I don’t know if switching from my strengthening shampoo would then give me more split ends! Ahhh stupid hair won’t you cooperate!

@abeautifulunion: OMG I just started a thread asking about this, and I’m having an aha moment that this all started probably when I started using Seasonale BC. I am switching pills ASAP!
