emeraldsmiley :  look around media (Delco), upper Dublin (mont co), downingtown (Chester county). A bunch are going up in those areas.

I just bought a house about 15 minutes from kop. Sprig city has new construction single family homes,Ryan homes is the builder.  I would probably decide how long you want to have it take to get to kop and at what time of day more than a mileage idea. Some days 20 miles could take you 30 minutes and at peak rush hour it could take 90 minutes.  I’m not sure if you would want to look at townhouses but collegeville, kop, gilbertsville and spring city all have a ton of new construction town homes as well. It seems sometimes like that is all they are building anymore. Good luck on your home search!

Toll Brothers and Ryan are the biggest developers around here but they are both known for pretty crappy construction.  Are you open to older houses?  KOP has really cute 1950’s-era SFH’s that are very affordable and built like tanks.  I just bought a house in Lafayette Hill which is a very nice are but I’m not sure if there are any developments going up around here right now.

Edit:  upon furthr Zillow investigation, there are a number of new construction townhouses and singles going up in Laf Hill/Conshy/Plymouth Meeting right now.  Not sure what your budget is but looks like they start around $500k.  If you want something cheaper you’re probably going to want to look out toward Phoenixville/Spring City/Collegeville.

Have you looked in Malvern or Paoli? Lots of new construction there and not too far from KOP.

How about the area by Philadelphia premium outlets? Is that too far? They have a variety of New construction communities around there.
