@pigment80:  local bridal store had a massive sale recently and i got my BM dresses for $250 each instead of the $455 😀 My girls were very happy even though they were happy to pay the $500 at the store down the road

(excuse their black bras and the silly white gloves the store made them wear)

@Steph18:  Why the white gloves? I have never heard of a store doing that!

This is random, but I’d been checking out floating candles at save on crafts. Their shipping was steep, so I dug around and found floating candles at Ikea – $5.99/24 candles 🙂 ikea is like 15 minutes from my house, so I’m going to go this weekend and see of there’s anything else I need for the wedding!

@LovelyLaura:  its so nails and rings dont snag the dresses. the store also made a bride (not me another girl that was there) wear a white mesh thingy over her face to not get makeup on the wedding dress (she had foundation super caked on) i thought it was too far

@Steph18:  To be fair, I’ve tried on lots of samples which are marked up by makeup.  If brides are careless, the stores have to replace the samples sooner and they might have more trouble selling the samples.  I’m not saying the mesh is a good idea, but I can see why they might request brides to skip the makeup, cover their face while the dress slides over them, or help them into dresses – to preserve their investment.
