Okay ladies, NEW DILEMMA!
I know I shouldn’t have, but I did! Winnie Couture was having a sample sale this weekend and even though I put a small deposit on the DB dress above, I just wanted to go and see what they had. And there it was, a $3000 Winnie Couture dress on sale for ONLY $800! It was the last day of the sale so I had to pay for it all right then if I wanted it…and I did! Now I don’t know what to do. Should I sell the Winnie Couture and go with the DB mermaid dress, or should I forget the DB and go with the unique Winnie? Pics are below. And thanks for the help once again!!

The David’s Bridal one is still best. The second one looks dated already.

The David’s Bridal dress is much prettier on you, imo. 🙂

I think the DB looks so gorgeous on you and really lets you be the focus instead of the dress! (It enhances your natural beauty!) Plus, you look more comfortable in the DB dress.

What kind of wedding are you having? The Winnie looks more old fashioned to me so if you’re having a vintage theme or something, that would work. I think it gives you a really nice shape from behind (sorry that sounds creepy!) but they are both beautiful on you.

First, awesome figure! You could rock anything!
Out of the two, DB is much better. The other dress looks very very dated (there must be a reason why it is on such a good sale!).
Good luck & keep us posted!

are you really going to pick your wedding dress based on a poll of strangers on the net?
Which one did you FEEEEEL awesome in?

I have to agree with most PPs in that I think the 2nd dress is a little dated. But then EVERYTHING dates. I’m having a cascading vintage looking bouquet even though everyone tells me its old fashioned. But I love it. You should go with whatever dress makes you feel like a princess!

I really like the Winnie- looks very formal and elegant. The DB one looks nice on you as well, but like PP said- everything will look dated at some point. I think the bubble hem, satin fabric and sweetheart of DB will be much more of dated look than #2. Go with the one you feel beautiful (and comfortable!) in!

I like the Winnie. It’s more unique and unexpected compared to the DB dress.

I think the Winnie gown is more classic overall, and your figure is amazing in it. Which dress makes you excited to be a bride? I had purchased a dress I thought was really pretty, but then I found a second dress… and I knew it was the dress for me because I was SO EXCITED. I still tell my fiance every day that he’s going to love my dress because it’s the best. And I plan everything else in my wedding according to my new dress. Pick the dress that makes you giddy!

@Dapsqueen: Since they both look lovely (although I like the way DB’s fit a bit more), I think you should go with the Winnie. The detailing knocks the DB out of the park (check out that train!).
I know you want major sparkle with your dress, and the Winnie has utterly exquisite detailing. Don’t even bother with the “dated” comments. Everything looks dated at one point or another. Dated ≠ unflattering/unattractive (so that argument makes little sense). So, that shouldn’t stop you from getting a gorgeous dress that makes you look smashing!

Thank you all so much for the valued feedback and the lovely compliments!
HisIrishPrincess I am a pretty strong minded woman, however a bit indecisive to start. So I like to gather various opinions to evaluate all sides of an issue, but ultimately I go with my gut and stick to it. However, right now, I don’t really know what my gut is telling me. I like different things about both dresses.
The DB fits like a glove and the silhouette is beautiful. I just think the dress is predictably nice. And IMO it only looks stunning from the front, everything else (including the fabric) is just okay. Also I feel like it’s a little prom-y, like I’ve seen high school students wearing similar dresses to prom. If I went with it for the wedding, would I be happy? Yeah. I’m good with that. Plus it is super comfortable.
The Winnie Couture is a $3000 dress so it looks notably richer and the fabric is great. The bead work is stunning too and you know I love the bling! I feel more like a bride/queen in it, and it is not a dress that I will see just anyone wearing. But the silhouette is not as nice and fitted as the DB, so IMO not as outrightly stunning, but beautiful nonetheless.
The DB is more modern and sexy, the Winnie is more classic and regal. So torn!
