    I personally adore your solitaire and prefer it over the halo, but that’s just according to my own taste. The halo setting seems a little busy with the baguettes.

    BridalMonkey2014 :  I like that you are looking at a halo that is not exactly typical, monique Lhuillier right?. I like the mix of round and baguettes. But, I don’t like how that particular ring is executed. I think if the halo stones were a complete circle and the baguetts were tapered and true side stones, the ring’s balance would be better. This ring looks to be trying too hard to be different. in the band…it would look better. I mind is less in the 1.59 center shown in some examples than the smaller stone.

    But, I think these two by ML are lovely and unique.

    Hexagon Baguette Diamond Ring is fabulout (http://www.bluenile.com/engagement-rings/recently-purchased-engagement-ring-details?ring_id=815605018), but that center stones needs to be way lower in that setting!

    Wreath Halo. http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-ring/monique-lhuillier-wreath-halo-diamond-engagement-platinum_52813?elem=img&track=product {this stone is set just a tiny bit too high}

    A standard halo with baguette would look more balance if like below In My Humble Opinion:

    BridalMonkey2014 :  Glad you made a decision. Sometimes just saying to outload and getting feedback can be quite helpful to make a decision.

    I am curious where your lovely solitaire setting is from? I’m smitten and thinking about jumping to asimole rose gold solitaire. So soft and romantic!! 😍

    I actually really like the new setting, but I’d get it in rose gold.

    I prefer your original but I’m not big on baguettes.
