I’m almost two months away from my wedding in April in Boston, MA!! The last 6 months, I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to get a videographer since the cost would really put me over budget. Most of the videographers that I’ve found and LIKED were over $3K (the ones that I LOVED were over $6K). Videographers that I have found (via WeddingWire and Thumbtack) just don’t have the quality that would make it worthwhile for me (i.e. poor story-telling, mediore sound quality, or meh picture quality).
New England bees, for those who had a videographer under $2K – I would love to hear some recommendations and your experience! If you have a highlight video that you wouldn’t mind sharing – please do! Thanks!
We were *thisclose* to booking Bryan & Nikki from Hindsight Films. They are LOVELY people. The only reason we didn’t choose them is because a friend got us a deal with his up-and-coming friend from California. I think the package we were looking at started at $2800 so it’s higher than your ballpark, but they have some other packages (not sure on pricing).
We were also interested in Michael & Tricia, but didn’t make it far enough into the process to have a Skype interview with them like we did with Bryan & Nikki. They have beautiful work, though. Again, starting at $2800. http://www.mandtphotoandfilms.com/cinematography/
We checked out these guys online, too: http://thepixelperfection.com/videography/ When we were wedding planning they didn’t have tons of awesome videos available–looks like their focus was more photography, but I saved their link and it looks like they are growing and getting better. Their investment page says $1100 is their starting package, so it might be worth a look!
sochic: Matt was amazing! He joked adn fit in right along with both my husband as well as all our friends that got ready with us and when it came to teh reception he was very stleath. Ibarely noticed he was there. I didn’t really give him much input to what I wanted because my whoel thought process was that he was the professional and he realyl captured our personalities in both the full length video as well as the sneak peak. I highly recommend him!!
