beachybridemrsd2bee : Thanks so much!
For the Engagement Ring and band, I went through a local jeweller, but I’ve discovered that it must be from a company that a lot of jewelry stores order from. It’s Ring #50650. If you type 50650 ring into Google, this ring pops up. I see that it’s available from Engagement Rings USA in just about every metal (Silver, gold, palladium, platinum) – along with either no stone, CZ, or Diamond – http://www.engagement-rings-usa.com/vintage-engagement-rings-c-185_167/fine-vintage-diamond-engagement-ring-with-filigree-design-p-78580
Also available at Overnight Mountings (in sterling silver, 10, 14, or 18K gold – yellow, white or rose gold, plat, palladium) – http://www.overnightmountings.com/wedding-bands-curved-bands-40849.html
I’m sure if you show it to your local jeweler they would know who to order it from. You can also order just the setting from either of the above (with no stone if you’re getting the e-ring) and have a local jeweler set it with the diamond of your choice.
The eternity ring is a moissanite – and I’m just amazed how well it goes with my F coloured diamond! I was assuming the small Forever Classic Moissanite stones would be much yellower – but I don’t see a difference.

Hubby says he hates how sparkly they are. They’re too “over the top”.
He also says it seems silly to have stones the whole way around, because you never see 1/2 the stones – they’re on the back. I explained it’s an “Eternity” band, and therefore it’s supposed to have no beginning and no end. He understands the symbolism, but he’s just not a fan.
It’s not like every time he sees it he says how much he hates it, or it’s annoying him like crazy – it’s just something he said he’s not a fan of. I think he’ll grow to like it – but I’m just finding it a bit weird – usually he loves everything I choose – so it’s just a little weird he’s not as excited as me this time.

What’s to hate? It’s beautiful! Neither one of them has to wear it anyway.

I think it’s stunning! Did they say why they don’t like it?

Shot through the heart and you’re to blame, darling you give me wedding set droooooooooooool for realz. 😉
That is a beautiful set and a beautiful eternity band. Your husband will either grow to love it or love the fact that YOU love it. How do I know? He’s a good ‘un – you’ve hung onto him for 25 years! Congrats!

mishybear : Who cares? He’s not the one wearing it.
Like a couple of PPs, I can’t work out why both your Darling Husband and DS hate it. (DS gets a pass if he’s under about 13 though).

Honestly, there have been SO many occasions where men have not liked something out of personal preference, but eventually fell in love with whatever it was, simply because their loved one gave it so much meaning.
Who knows, 5 years down the line he might really love it, simply because every time you look at it, you smile, and it makes you happy. That happiness is so infectious and eventually he will see YOUR beauty in it.
So carry on loving it the way you should! I think we all KNOW it’s absolutely gorgeous, and I think many of us can attest to our men not having nearly as good taste in jewelry as women do 😉

mishybear : Pretty! And meh, they don’t have to wear it. My husband used to really dislike my wedding band but he says it grew on him over time.
