Hi – welcome! Congratulations on the wedding. 🙂

Even if you aren’t actively charting or what-not, definitely just keep track of those longer cycles. That way, if in 6 months you happen to still be with us, you’ll be armed with the information you need to help with a diagnosis. *If* you need it, that is.

May your stay be short and sweet!

@Sea_bass: Welcome!! 🙂 & congrats on your marriage! I hope your TTC journey is fun & exciting x

Ps, I also have v long cycles so I can sympathise! We’ve been TTC for approx 6 months and I’ve just recently started charting. If you find you don’t conceive after a bit of time, you can always consider this at a later stage.

@Sea_bass: Hehe 🙂 Yes, just keep your tracking kind of subtle and don’t talk to hubs loads about all the details (talk to us!) & then you keep things in the bedroom light and fun and not all about sex on a certain date etc – I have found this can freak men out and make them feel pressured and a bit turned off.

Long cycles are a pain aren’t they?

Good luck!x

@Sea_bass:  I had to laugh at ‘demanding his sperm in vials for breakfast’ – oh man, just what I needed this morning!!! 🙂

I’m keeping SO in the dark about all the nuts and bolts of TTC, at least at first.  He knows I temp in the morning, but he’s never really asked why.  He’s a nursing student, so he might know anyway.  If/when he asks I’ll tell him that I just want to make sure that my body is going back to normal after BCPs.  I am also using cheapie OPKs, but since I read the recommendations online that say to use them about 3:00.  That means that I take them at work.  I have a desk drawer devoted to TTC.
