I kind of love the parasols and pickupsticks veil and that black and white vera wang with the keyhole thing and the first cape

…But I am aware that I have crazy person tastes and I cannot imagine normal people purchasing these things.

The blush pink dresses don’t bother me personally… My aunt wanted a valentines wedding and wore a red dress intended to be a formal for a high schooler. So I say where whatever color dress you want!

but, mostly, frightening. My favorite thing is when you see ads in bridal magazines of a bride wearing a beautiful pace gown… And yet her hair is in an Afro and she has fluorescent orange eye shadow. Like, really?

Hmm… I don’t know about these dresses… I mean, I’ve never actually paid attention to runway shows… but is this the stuff they are going to be trying to sell? To actual people? I don’t know… maybe I just like things that look more “bridal”. My dress is a little chic (organza rosettes with a fitted rouched drop waste top) but it still has a bridal feel to it. These dresses just have a… uhm… well, honestly it looks like the designers have been taking bets on if people will actually wear them. I can see it now: “Hey guys, do you want to design the most hideous dresses you can imagine and then bet on if anyone will actually WEAR them… you know, cuz WE made them?”

I can’t believe that one that was basically just lace with naked underneath. I was a little repulsed!

And then I realized those models are usually about 14, and I was doubly repulsed.

@atreyu547:  I’ve been looking at a lot of the 2014 collection… even Maggie Sottero has disappointed me this time around, and I usually love all their work to death! The styles just seem to be less bridal and more out there. Yeah, they do have dresses that are mellow/bridal out there… but I just see a wave of certain dresses being purchased as, like you said, most of these dresses are for people with unique tastes. (Not to mention 1/2 of these will require a very specific body type to pull off).
