Hi everyone! I just wanted to say hi and to introduce myself to everyone. 🙂
My name is Kiki and I just got engaged (about 2 weeks ago). My fiance and I live in Tampa, FL. I’m so new to all this wedding stuff and really have no idea what the heck I’m going to do, lol. We have so many options and ideas, so it’s so hard to settle on just one idea/location/dress (LOL). We’re thinking of maybe a beach wedding…but a little different. It will be in March, so not exactly "perfect" beach weather. We figured the beach wouldn’t be crowded, though.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I’m looking forward to chatting with everyone.

Welcome to the hive girl and congratulations! I’m already here and anticipating my ring,..well anytime now!
I haven’t been to Tampa in march, but have been to Miami in march. It was fairly warm there.
If that time isn’t warm enough for you, why not a short jaunt down to the keys where it’s always like the carribbean?

Hi there, I live in Tampa as well. We are getting married Jan 24 in downtown St. Petersburg. If you have questions on vendors, let me know! We were trying to get the Mar 21 date like you, but so many of the locations we wanted were unavailable. We didn’t try out at the beach though. Good luck with everything! 🙂
My Dress – Olga’s in Tampa, Invitations – Not from a Box, Inc in St. Pete, Ceremony – First United Methodist in SP, Reception – Vinoy, Photog – Gina Leigh, Flowers – KaBloom.

Best wishes with your planning. I am getting married in Ocala on Feb 7th. I know many of my vendors will support Tampa as well.
You’ve found the perfect spot for inspiration and support!
Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for the nice welcome!
Also, thanks Emjoy! Olga’s is on my "to Go to" list for dress shopping…everyone go smoothly for you there?
Space, I’ve lived in Ocala awhile ago…I’m glad to be out, hahaha!

Olga’s is so far so good. My dress came a few weeks ago, and it definitely needs to be altered down quite a bit. But the customer service has been pretty good so far. It’s a small store so I highly recommend going during the week if you can. Saturdays are pretty crazy.
I also LOVED Ci CI’s in St. Pete. They just opened an entire huge store of dresses under $1200 called 4th Ave Bridal. (The main store has mostly more expensive gowns.) That was my favorite experience and I wish I could’ve bought my dress there, but I found the dress I loved most at Olga’s.

Thanks so much for the info! I’ve never heard of 4th Ave Bridal, but I’ll def be checking it out. Sounds really cool. 🙂
