GemmaBella: Yes, I heard about that too, and a few other rumours…there are some exciting things ahead for moissanite!
I had originally intended to track down moissanite OECs for this ring, but ultimately I figured a change from old cuts, and in particular a change from the chunky facets and fire of my antique halo that I wear on my other hand, might be a good thing. Plus as you know I have had many moissanite OECs already so I felt like stepping a bit outside my comfortable old box and pursuing my curiousity about these new stones 😉
Also, since I heard rumours about new OECs coming sometime anyway, I felt less worried about trying to get them in this particular ring before they were no longer available…as that just means other options in the future!
I am very happy I went in this direction; in part because it does play so differently with the light compared to my antique rings so now I feel like I have the best of both worlds!

It’s a beautiful ring! I tried on a 3 stone ring with similar proportions and loved the coverage on my finger.

RayKay: Me too! Dont know when we will be starting since he wants to save for nice diamonds. I will definitley make a thread once it gets going!

RayKay : how are you feeling about your h&a stones? I’m trying to decide between MoCo h&a and Neo diamond cut! Would love to hear how you feel about their performance and cut/color!

bklyn18 : I love them! I actually changed the original ones here out for different ones when they had some slight improvements in cut and colour.
I wear this ring a lot. Almost daily. Mostly as a RHR, but sometimes as an alternate.
Colour is great (I chose near colourless). They look great that way. Performance is awesome. No dark spots, and they perform very similar to my diamonds (which I often wear at same time). I get lots of compliments on it, it really is beautiful!
Cut is truly great; I have had many moissanites and these are wonderful. No complaints at all.

RayKay : wow it’s so beautiful! Is the cut very crisp and do you feel like there is plenty of depth in the stone?

RayKay I know this is an old post, but you having had 3 stones at once could probably answer this best for me. The marketing of the h&a seems to stress the arrows. I don’t like the spikey dark arrows that appear in the pictures on the websites.
I don’t see them in your pics. I know you said there are no dark spots, but do you see dark, or darker, arrows in the stones? Or, did you since I guess you no longer have the ring.
It’s kind of confusing, as they seem to promote that as a great new thing, but I would never want to see that in a stone IRL.
