Welcome Kate!  I was wondering how you plan to display them in the house?  When you say you have no garden at all—-does it just need some love and care or you just don’t have a flower garden at all in any way?  I have an idea…

Cute idea!

How about rectangular pieces of wood, then if you have a stairs you could attach them to the riser so you’d see them every time you go up it? Well varnished I’m sure it’d last fine. Could be a nice long lasting memory piece.

The riser is the vertical bit your toe touches as you go up the stairs.

At JoAnns, they have a stone making kit that is plaster kind of and very light weight….also have molds, tiles, and other things to make “stepping stones.”

i looove this idea..please post pics of whatever you decide to do.. the tiles are sooo cool. you can so put them into a floor of like where you walk in your door.. or master bath or something.. or do people have tiles above their fireplaces or anything.. really cool though, and different.

Instead of doing steping stones what if you lined the aisle pictures of your big moments:

Groom side would start with his baby pic then on to school pic and then a picture of when you two first go together and so forth.  Same with your side.  You could end it on the pews were your parents will be sitting with an engagement photo.  And that way after the wedding you can just hang up the photos in you house.  Kinda like this:

^But instead of a shadow profile you would have framed photos.
