Hey! First post on this site!
I have a white dress, and ordered a fur coat thing online and did not read the details and it came but it is actually ivory. Thoughts? I personally hate it together, but I am not sure because I am having a hard time finding a white one, and my wedding is in February and I live in Canada and it will be cooooold! Is it a huge huge fashion faux pas to wear it? I like everything to be matchy matchy, so I am not sure what the rest of the world thinks…
My wedding colours are white and silver, so I am open to other ideas that will look nice! I am only going to be wearing it from the car to my venue and maybe for a few photos with hubs, and if I step outside during reception.

Welcome to WeddingBee!
Only you can really make the call on this one, since it’s going to depend on exactly HOW matchy-matchy you want, and how flexible you’re willing to be, and how much they contrast and whether it comes off as complementary or clashing. If the fur looks yellowish against the gown, maybe it’s worth changing; if it still looks whitish, just not as stark, maybe it’s fine that way.
My $0.02: very few things in nature are really bright paper-white. White fur, white flowers, white hair, white snow, etc., all have some kind of undertone and will be slightly different shades of white, so for me, it wouldn’t be a problem for them to not match exactly. In fact, really bright white fur might even look a little fake compared to a whitish fur with more natural undertones. It depends, though. How much is it worth to you?
